Bespoke Dog Grooming and Spa Services
With the unusual variations in temperature, you may notice your best friend is shedding more around the house, or perhaps even looking a bit worse for wear coat wise. This is a good time to book an end of winter or Spring groom to help freshen up their coats to remove dead loose furr and dander and stimulate new coat growth so your pet remains warm and waterproof in the cooler, wet weather.
‘Doodle’ owners - Now is the time of year to groom your dog properly every day for 10-15 mins to remove dirt and debris from their coats to prevent matts easily developing with the extra mud and moisture in the environment. When your Doodles coat starts to look dull, feel thicker, brushing and combing is harder, the comb ‘sticks’ more in the coat and there are significantly more dead hairs in your slicker brush/comb than normal - these are all clear signs that your Doodle needs a bath and good brush and comb through. Appreciate its hard work but you will be rewarded with a lovely lush, mat free winter coat.
Enjoy you winter walks and perhaps whilst doing so give some thought to booking in your 2020 groom appointments to ensure that you can get the times and dates convenient to yourself and that your best friends has a good hygiene and grooming schedule in place.
Best wishes, Lou
Help your dog maintain a healthy coat and skin with regular grooming. I offer hand stripping, scissoring, clipping, seasonal de-shedding breed specific pet trims, coat rescue and wash and dry services for short haired dogs.
Your pet lives in your environment and can also suffer from exposure to the elements, stress with the daily toil of life and strains and sprains at the park or beach. Celebrate their birthday or a special occasion by treating them to a relaxing aromatherapy sponge wash, skin detoxing and de-shedding mud treatment, paw treatment for dry and cracked paws or a Reiki session.
I have the highest praise for Louise at Sootypaws, she is very professional and has a calming effect on my Border Terrier. I would recommend Sootypaws to anyone who wants a very professional job done in a most caring way.
Grooming plays a vital part in looking after your pets health and wellbeing and is also very important in detecting early signs of parasite infections and disease. Groomers are not allowed to diagnose but can suggest you see a vet if any irregularities are noticed in your pets presentation.
